DNY in collaboration with Grain Collective & Leslie Robertson Associates was tasked by the School Construction Authority to design a large-span canopy structure that would enable students to have an all-weather outdoor play/learning area. The design is a modular, low-cost, quick build, outdoor enclosure with a translucent exterior PVC covering. The exterior frame span ranges between 26'and 120'. The covered area includes 1-1/2 basketball courts, seating and play areas. The project is currently in the early design phase.
