Liora Dermatology's new spa like office was designed to look and provide a different experience from a usual Doctor's office/visit. The Client's request was to re imagine the space to create a fun and experiential space. Working with a limited floor area of 1100 sf in Midtown Manhattan, NDNY Architecture + Design was able to create different public and private realms distinguished by the different use of materials and textures.

The reception area includes a central circular offset which serves to highlight some of the retail products of the brand. The floor being the focal point is dressed in a midnight blue terrazzo with colored marble chips reminiscent of the sky and stars. The custom designed wood reception desk includes antique mirror panels. The entire reception area is choreographed to fit within the lens of an Instagram frame. The eclectic vibe is carried into the kitchen and staff areas through a patterned floor tile and kitchen cabinetry with vertical siding painted pink. Yellow wall paper with zebra designs contrast with black tiles in the bathroom.

While the public areas are bright and inspirational the private areas or patient rooms are private and calming. The color palette is muted with warm beige, carpet tile and custom millwork with a concrete counter.
